Technical Head|Family Wellness and Development
Portia Busisiwe Nkosi
Portia Nkosi joined the OLIVE LEAF Foundation in September 2007. As the the Technical Head, Portia is responsible for the Family Wellness and Develoment programme development and implementation in five South African provinces. In addition she serves as a Technical Advisor on OVC related issues for the OLIVE LEAF Foundation funded programmes in Cote D’Ivoire, Nigeria, Kenya, Zambia and Botswana.
Before joining the OLIVE LEAF Foundation Portia worked with WesBank, a division of First Rand Bank, where she filled several and diverse positions from March 1993 to August 2007 including Business Analyst, Project Management, Talent Management and Staff Retention. She was involved in setting up and managing call centres and was instrumental for researching and developing a Quality Assurance System for a division of 600 staff members. Before working with WesBank, Portia worked with Hohner S.A. from 1990 to 1993.
In addition Portia won the Gold Award for excellent achievement in Wesbank’s Leadership Development Programme (2002 – 2003) and the Gold Award the top student in the Bank’s Development Programme for Managers (2001 – 2002). Portia married Dingaan in 1985, they have two children Makhosazanai and Muziwakhe and live in Kibler Park – South of Johannesburg.
Portia serves on the Board of Trustees for the Johannesburg Church of Christ – Soweto Region.
