Programme Manager: ROSI
Rachel Kgeledi
Rachel joined the OLIVE LEAF Foundation's Regional Orphans and Vulnerable Children Organizational Support (ROSI) programme in March, 2007. In her position as Programme Manager, she is responsible for the Swedish International Development Cooperation (Sida) grant management, ROSI Programme and Team Management, co-ordination of reporting to funder and ongoing technical advise to the OLIVE LEAF Foundation in South Africa and sub-grantees in Botswana, Cote d'Ivoire, Kenya, Nogeria and Zambia.
Before joining the OLIVE LEAF Foundation , Rachel gained extensive experience in programme and project management, being involved in project design, implementation and oversight, with the International Republican Institute (IRI) a US based non-governmental organization. In addition she has 14 years of capacity building experience working with municipalities and non-governmental organizations in the Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal provinces of South Africa. Rachel previously worked with political parties and elections management bodies in South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda and Zimbabwe.
Rachel is currently completing her thesis on “Women in Local Government Elections” – Ugu District Case Study as part of her Masters in Management in the field of Public and Development Management at the University of the Witwatersrand. She completed a diploma in Commerce with Accounting and Business Economics ad her majors. She is single with a nine year old daughter and lives in Soweto.
