Doctor Pic 2011

Doctor Vukeya has served as the Polokwane Area Manager for OLIVE LEAF Foundation from April 2010; however, he has a long history with the same organization. Previously he had managed the Diepsloot site in the Gauteng province since February 1999.

In 2006 Doctor was asked to coordinate the establishment and strengthening of Community Childcare Forums (CCFs) across the country. His tenure as a CCF Coordinator afforded him an opportunity to demonstrate his expertise as his core functions among others were to facilitate workshops, stakeholder management and the general wellbeing of some staff members.  He also served as a chairperson of the District Action Committee for Children with Aid (DACCA) structure for two years, was a committee member for a similar structure at a provincial level called PACCA as well as at a national level called NACCA.

Doctor’s leadership skills, interpersonal skills and his project management background are critical as his current core function is stakeholder management, resource mobilization and general well being of staff members. He is married to his wife Bongi and has two children, Mhelemba and Vun’we Vukeya.
