Tinus Stander, IT Manager

Tinus StanderTinus Stander has served as the OLIVE LEAF Foundation's IT Manager since March 2004. He is responsible for the company’s Information Technology and Communications policies, systems and procedures, and ensuring compliance to the international standards of information systems policies.

Tinus joined the OLIVE LEAF Foundation in June 2001 as an IT Consultant for the South African programmes. In this position he designed and implemented new IT processes and systems, including new networks and communications infrastructures.

Tinus completed a two year diploma at the Hospitality and Catering School of London, England where he advanced into the information sector of the hospitality industry. He was employed at a five star hotel in London as the Night Manager of the Le Meridian Hotel on Piccadilly.  He completed various qualifications i.e. (MCSE 2003) Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer; (CCNA) Cisco Certified Network Associate; (MCDBA SQL 2000) Microsoft Certified Database Administrator; (CCISP) Certified Critical Infrastructure Security Professional and (MOS 2003) Microsoft Office Specialist.

Tinus managed  the design and implementation of local government and Borough Toll and Tax collection systems in Coventry England from 1998 to 2000. Tinus consulted to various industries on the safety and security of their networks and information.

Tinus married Wendy in 2000 and they live in Montana, Pretoria with their son Keagan.
