Fikile Dlali
Fikile Dlali has served as the OLIVE LEAF Foundation's Operations Director since November 2006. He is specifically responsible for guiding the organisation in implementing its strategic objectives.
Fikile was employed by the OLIVE LEAF Foundation (known as HOPE worldwide South Africa at the time) in 2001 as the Area Manager in Alexandra, Johannesburg. There he became active in community structures such as the Alexandra Development Forum and the Alexandra Service Providers’ Forum first as an executive member and later as chairperson. During 2004 he was appointed as the OLIVE LEAF Foundation’s Regional Manager for Gauteng. In this position he was responsible for ensuring implementation of community HIV/AIDS programmes, reporting, managing budgets for provincial programmes, overseeing Area Managers, as well as developing and maintaining partnerships with community stakeholders and local governments in the province. At the same time Fikile managed several funding partnerships such as with the Gauteng Department of Health, ABSA Bank, Arivia.com and Oxfam. Under Fikile’s leadership the OLIVE LEAF Foundation won an award for being the best service delivery community organisation in Alexandra two years in a row.
Before joining the OLIVE LEAF Foundation , Fikile was employed by Standard Bank where he was selected for a fast track programme for graduates. Following on his experience in the financial services industry Fikile joined the Johannesburg Church of Christ in September 1994 as a trainee minister. During November 1997 he was appointed as the lead minister in the Mthatha Church of Christ. As a minister he developed new skills in public speaking, leadership, training & mentoring of young leaders and overseeing organisational and personal growth.
Fikile is a graduate of the University of the Witwatersrand holding a Bachelors of Science (BSc) in Genetics. He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Business Leadership (MBL) from the University of South Africa. Fikile lives in Mondeor, Johannesburg. Hehas been married to Nonhlanhla since 2003 and their first child was born in May 2008.
