Director|ProgrammesEdward Phillips has served the OLIVE LEAF Foundation in South Africa as Director of Programmes since November 2008.  In this position Edward is responsible for all programme development and implementation.

Edward joined the OLIVE LEAF Foundation (known as HOPE worldwide South Africa at the time) in 1999 initially as the Programme Manager for Siyawela, OLF’s initial Orphan and Vulnerable Children’s (OVC) programme.  In 2002 he was promoted to the position of National Programme Manager for South Africa and in this role worked with international donor agencies and at grassroots level developing community competencies to respond to the HIV/AIDS pandemic.

In 2004 Edward was appointed as the Capacity Development Manager, being responsible for the OLIVE LEAF Foundation's Integrated HIV & AIDS Programme Model that ensured sustainable programme delivery at community level.  During 2006 Edward joined the National Development Agency to develop a Monitoring and Evaluation Framework for their funded projects.

Edward graduated with a BComm Degree from the University of Pretoria in 1996, majoring in Financial Management and Cost Accounting.  He has been married to Debbie since 1991.  They have a 16 year old son, Kyle and a 13 year old daughter Robyn.  The Phillips family lives in Jukskei Park, Randburg.
